BOLT THROWER Announce Support Acts For European Tour

March 18, 2006

British extreme metal pioneers BOLT THROWER have posted the following message on their official web site:

"We are happy to announce the bands taking part in the second leg of our European tour. Main support on Those Still Loyal II Europe 2006 will come from Holland's finest — GOD DETHRONED — for the first part of the tour, and the Northern hyperblast legends — KATAKLYSM — for the remainder of the tour. For this tour we decided against the usual three- or four-band package, and instead are using the opportunity to bring out friends and also help promote new bands. Therefore, in addition to GOD DETHRONED/KATAKLYSM we have invited different special guests each night, bands like DOWNLORD ([ex-BOLT THROWER frontman] Dave Ingram's new band),GOD AMONG INSECTS, etc. and/or various up and coming local bands.

"We again strongly advise people who are travelling to the shows without tickets that they call the venues to make sure there are still tickets available. Some of the shows have already sold out, and we don't want a repeat of the January tour where a lot of people found they couldn't get in after travelling for hours.

"We're all really looking forward to playing new territories and meeting up with old friends. Hope to see you out there!"

BOLT THROWER are touring in support of their new CD, "Those Once Loyal", which entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 76 — the group's highest-charting release in Germany so far. The follow-up to 2001's "Honour, Valour, Pride" was recorded at Andy Faulkner's Sable Rose studios and is the band's first album since the return of original vocalist Karl Willetts as a full-time member.
